Remnant: From the Ashes Review – In My Sights

Remnant: From the Ashes Review – In My Sights

Although not all of its ideas mesh at times, Remnant: From the Ashes is still a satisfying action-adventure with punchy third-person shooting and fantastic bosses to overcome.

Remnant: From The Ashes Review – The Final Verdict

Remnant: From The Ashes is a game with extremely derivative design, but good gunplay, solid co-op play, and smart randomization means it’s still fun, if not original, solo or with friends.

Remnant From The Ashes: Swamps of Corsus DLC Preview

Remnant From The Ashes: Swamps of Corsus DLC Preview. and In this video, we took a look at Swamps of Corsus DLC the upcoming DLC of Remnant from the Ashes developed by Gunfire Games and Published by Perfect World.

▶ Remnant Playlist:

Today Remnant from the Ashes brings both a new update and DLC called Swamps of Corsus. The update will be free for all users that already own the game, and will include some of the new elements like Bosses, lore and Missions. Lore will include more information about the Elf Queen and the story behind Corsus and the Iskal. So, if you haven’t played Remnant in awhile, I strongly recommend you play through the story again, as you will find many new elements.

The most exciting part of the Remnant From the Ashes DLC is definitely the Survival Mode. This mode plays like a rogue-like, where you start your play through with only a pistol and then acquire more equipment and Traits as you progress. When you die you lose all your progress and you go back to the beginning (if you progress far enough you get a small Scrap Bonus).

Remnant: From the Ashes Retrospective – Methodical, entertaining, but unambitious

With only two muted DLC drops, it felt like Remnant: From the Ashes dropped entirely out of the news cycle within a year of launch – aside from an equally low-key “next-gen upgrade” announcement. I bounced off it while it was on Xbox Game Pass – I have an on-off relationship with ‘Souls-like games – but eventually picked up the “Complete Edition” cheaply and made the time to take it slow and get a proper feel for the mechanics.

After sinking 25 hours into one solo campaign character, and one multiplayer character for the “adventure mode”, I was unexpectedly entertained on a mechanical level, despite the limited scope, uneven single-player balance, and mixed production values. But would I still recommend it to others?
